Cons
After 5 months of use the remote started rebooting on its own. It doesn't just reset to the off settings - it forces you to walk through the step-by-step setup guide every time it reboots, which is maddening.
The remote is of decent quality but logitech software and support is terrible. It takes multiple launches just to 'log in', with each launch sitting and spinning up to 5 minutes. The 'activities' concept of the remote is great if they would explain it... Read More
The units have * that are the smallest they could create. In a darkly lit environment, impossible to read. The really perplexing part is the 650 is limited to the 4 custom *.
The thing eats batteries like butterscotch kisses. Read as low durability. To say these products are poorly designed is an understated fact.

That means three different codes and if i point away before its done then the components are out of synch somethings still on while everything else is off and i have to use the help button to get it all together again

Because our equipment was quite old and my yamaha av receiver used one button to turn it on and a completely different button to turn it off i thought this might be an exercise in futility

Initially by entering the manufacturer and model numbers almost everything worked perfectly except of course the yamaha av receiver

The logitech remote was able to control the volume updown on the receiver but was not able to turn it on or off

I wanted to pass on the two suggestions that are not mentioned in the users guide that i found the most helpful when we resorted to teaching the logitech remote the proper ir signal using my original yamaha remote control 1 put a fresh set of batteries in your original remote control
