Pros & Cons
Pros
This is really more for multimedia/regular computer or tablet use. Trackpad is much better on this unit than my old one. The touch pad as well, all very intuitive.
Metal frame is much sturdier that the other plastic ones and just feels like a high quality unit from the moment you open the box. Heavier than my old one. It makes this one thinner and a nicer feel, imo.
Device has a wireless bluetooth capability in addition to wireless capability. I have microsoft mouse/keyboard connected wirelessly with usb receiver to samsung 8th series and it works perfectly, right off the bat. However, just to be safe i purchased... Read More
Battery life is generally several weeks for my use. The backlit keyboard is the icing on the cake here. I use it for gaming on my bed lol.
Cons
The trackpad is not very sensitive, and suffers from typical bluetooth lag. The touchpad has issues with pointer movement and scrolling. This device has no bluetooth capability, and is bound to the unifying receiver that only works for the device you ... Read More
It's so unnecessary. It's basically unusable. It is impossibly unreliable. For a media keyboard, that renders it virtually useless.
The device gets mediocre battery life before needing recharged compared to the tk820 which could last nearly a year on a single set of batteries. However, it is not very durable. Micro usb is such a terrible port.
The keys themselves are just ok, they are almost mushy, but tolerable. The layout has a typical logitech crampedness about it. The backlight turns itself off after a few seconds, meaning that if you're in a dim room you have to press any key just to b... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Cool keyboard and it seems well made.
Battery life, range, and bluetooth connectivity is amazing.
Battery life is about 12 days with no backlight and moderate use of 3 hrs a day.
Backlit dim after 6 seconds theres no way to keep lights on
Price
This went from $70 in 10/2020 to $470.
You will pay crazy prices now, even if they are used.
I paid regular price for the first keyboard and then found out how good it was.
Is it worth it, yes at $60-$70.
Competitiveness
It's an upgraded keyboard when comparing to the smaller cousin.
For some reason logitech has discontinued this model, and doesn't have a new one that has these features.
As such, there are two versions, and only one works with the oculus quest.
