Pros & Cons
Pros
The keys are wide and backlit. I am ambivalent to backlighting but the wide keys are a plus if you have sizeable hands or fat fingers. This product uses the newer, bolt receiver, while the full sized mx keys uses the unifying usb receiver. The keyboar... Read More
No issues with bt connectivity, connection has yet to drop once from 50+ hours of utilization. Charge lasts adequate time. It connects instantly after turning on, no lag.
There is a slight flex to the chassis but it does help compensate a little for uneven surfaces. I just wish it was a bit tougher since i use it on the go and its going to get bumped around.
Cons
Software to use it on multiple pc's is fraught with errors and after a year, it never did work. Logitech options is buggy at best and works about 25% of the time.
The keyboard operates as though the ctrl key is continuously depressed. It reverts to always on as soon as the computer is restarted or turned off. The back of the keyboard lacks a keyboard raiser! The backlit keyboard cannot be set to constant on.
Hand/finger sensor is a good concept but a fail. The fact that you cannot keep the illumination on all the time is aggravating and a deal breaker.
For a $130 keyboard this performs beyond poor. The irony they decided to pull an apple-level pricing stunt on a keyboard they make a dedicated apple version of is absolutely hilarious.
Highlights
Quality
Great design, liable for power life per charge, responsive touch
It is sturdy, heavy, and the keys are extremely quiet.
Whereas my last cordless keyboard had a battery life that lasted 2+ months, this, at best, only lasts a week.
Every other keyboard i tried was flimsy, noisey, and just felt cheap.
Price
It's pricy, but that's easily forgotten once you appreciate the usage of it.
A little expensive for my taste but she works 10 hours a day on a keyboard so a little step up in quality is worth it imo.
Competitiveness
The mx keys mini and a satechi were my favorites.
I ordered a dozen different keyboards from eight different brands.
Without getting into specifics, the other brands were zagg, jlabs, artek, macally, and the logi mx slim.

On a light keyboard with backlighting on the keys are often virtually illegible

Overhead office lighting will make them unreadable even at the highest brightness setting

You can turn brightness down by holding down the backlighting key on the keyboard for a few seconds but better would be a simple onoff toggle

Even better would be for the auto setting to recognize bright ambient lighting and just turn backlighting off

Maybe with a future firmware update but right now a missed opportunity
