They have a nice balance of sound once they are setup correctly. The bass sound is pretty good and the treble sound is not too sharp.
It is lightweight and small enough to leave about in any room. More than adequate for pumping out some huge sounds in a medium sized room. I use them with my laptop for both casual music listening and video editing.
They provide decent sound quality, and decent volume. More than adequate for basic desktop use and occasional listening to music. Logitech has yet to let me down and these speakers only increase my customer satisfaction.
Cons
The bass sounds very hollow and boomy. The bass interference is so heavy that i cannot even hear the words to songs without modifying the equalizer heavily.

Price
Price was great, delivery was speedy and we are very pleased.
For the price (27 $) i am happy.
I realize the prices change constantly, but when i purchased these speakers, they were $17.
For such a small price, i feel i got triple of what i paid for; and i've been around the block with speakers before.
Competitiveness
I may even like this better than the boston brand!
I got these for my mom for christmas as replacement speakers for her g5's internal speakers.

The biggest disadvantage is the lack of an external subwoofer volume control without using an equalizer there is wayyyyyyyy too much bass and it just sounds terrible
