Pros

Altec lansing surround sound system can blow the windows out of my house. The bass is great, thumpy and adjustable. Whenever i put my computer to sleep, the volume for the ipod becomes noticeably louder. The sound is better and louder than i expected.... Read More

Set works much better than any built in speaker on a monitor. Crisp and good depth but the mid-range is a little lacking.

Cons

The bass is boomy, muffled and with very limited range. The drivers are just horribly balanced so there is no sweet spot whatsoever. The sound was a jumbled mess.

They are so bad i regret selling my old 5. Stopped working after about 3 months.

Not happy. Super irritated. Very disappointed. Not even remotely acceptable.

The it sounds like a cheap bookshelf speaker buried under a pillow. Every corner of the subwoofer was smashed from the handling.

And priced under $50, i would recommend to all.

This was an awesome price and it works great i am happy with it .

The adapter was $50 at best buy.

I bought these used for $25, but would consider them a good deal up to $60.

Competitiveness

1, and better than most soundbar + subwoofer for the same price.

Incredibly superior sound compared to the $100 hydrablast bluetooth speaker i bought originally.

I really just don’t think you can find better speakers for around this specific price.
