Pros
This is a quality joystick that worked instantly with my mac. Used the gravis 2 button joysticks back then for my games. It is a very good item for only some games, there are a few newer games that need a few more functions.
Joystick is perfect for combat flight sims.
The footprint is not too large and the * are easy to use. The * on top are responsive and you can easily rest your thumb on the top * without accidentally pressing them.
The the stick movement - it glides effortlessly. I read all the reviews on this joystick and was suprised when when it came because some people had said some fairly negitive things about it.
Not only is the stick ambidextrous, but it has a great design. The base is heavy enough and the spring has just the right stiffness. The joystick feels very solid in the hand and has good resistance.
Cons
The attack 3 works great - for about a week. No driver cd, instead you are instructed to go to logitech. The controller says it has 11 programmable *, but i find no way of assigning any functions to any * using my ms simulators. Get the newer lg contr... Read More
Other reviewers have had the same problems. Calibration is terrible. The raw data just goes all over the place.

This stick has enough buttons to handle most fps functions without issue, and can fit into the left hand allowing full mouse use!
This joystick is high quality and works like it should.
There are 11 buttons including the trigger, and three axes: pitch, roll, and throttle.
That being said, for what it is, the attack 3 is of decent build quality and will last a long time.
Price
Buying one second hand for $60-70 is a reasonable price, but i see one seller asking $180, and that's just insane.

Its really the bare minimum for flight sim controls so if youre planning to do a combat sim like dcs or il2 be ready to pony up another threedigit figure for rudder pedals

For civilian flight sims a dedicated rudder axis is something you can manage without using keyboard input instead
