The closest price i could find anywhere for these speakers was $10 more plus another $15 for ups ground shipping.

I purchased these speakers through a sale on amazon and got them for $37 with shipping.

There are few extraneous wires, and all the speaker wires are connected to them in shipping.

Packaging/appearance

If you are using a soundblaster card, i would highly recommend turning on the bass redirection in the audiohq.

So think positively: you get decent speakers and a killer packaging job for one low price.

Competitiveness

The sub is made very well better than many i have seen in a fasion similar to a true sound system sub.

One of the best speakers i had at a reasonable price.

If you do mp3, i'd suggest at least 128kbps (i use a variable bit-rate, which usually averages 300-400kbps).

These speakers are worth more than the list price, and amazon.
