The cord has a really nice robust braiding and is also surprisingly flexible.
The jack/port ends have a metal housing (aside from the gold-plated tip and sleeves) which just adds to the quality feel again.
What really surprised me was how thin these cables actually are, and how they don't get twisted or tangled on its own.
