The rubber is flexible but rigid enough to move quickly and easily through the water with barely noticeable resistance. The material is a little more malleable at the heel without sacrificing the integrity of the slip overall.
The sizing and fit are a must. Bought blue/yellow (corresponds to 1-3 shoe size). Almost 7 y/o wears shoe size 12, going onto 13.

Cons
I'm in the process of exchanging these (waiting for the new ones) they were covered front to back, top to bottom in a thick greasy film with hair stuck to it. I am disgusted by amazon right now.
The sizing chart on this very product says these are adult fins, size 10-11. The 9-11 size fits extremely tight. Please update the sizing chart and product descriptions.
The sizes on these flippers are incorrect. They arrive and they are for children, size 3-5. The overall length of the flippers seems to be short and more for a child.
