It seems like golding is really highlighting how human nature does not vary or falter even as far back as our childhood rather than saying that we are at our worst in those innocent days

I’m not sure if golding was purposefully telling an allegorical tale but that’s certainly how i read it and while allegory is a genre that usually bores and frustrates me this was not the incase in this instance
