It's a reminder of the thin line that separates civilization from savagery. It's amazing how we can still relate to the storyline. Humans are inherently strong and resilient.
Tongan castaways follows a group of boys marooned on an uninhabited island after their plane crashes. The story follows their descent into savagery and loss of civilization.
Cons
The conch is gone--’ (golding 142) this book is made as cheaply as possible. The hardcover edition is nothing more than the much cheaper (and cheaply printed) paperback version.
This bizarre novel seems structureless and flips back forth between different perspectives. I am almost at the end and the story still has not gripped me.

It wasn’t a bad decision but it was a bit of a struggle to finish as i felt it got a little boring toward the end
