I give this set out five stars i did a lot of research it is absolutely the best system i could find the reason why some of the reviews are not well because of the app there is nothing wrong with the app you have to go to each camera and a visual settings and click on

Motion recording once that is turned on for each individual camera you can go back and review any footage anytime also the yellow stripes means activity on the camera you can just go to the yellow lines to view any activity that activated your camera i install eight cameras weather im at home on the plasma are on my iphone i can access any of the eight cameras anytime rewind go to high definition go back there different days and review any part of the recording the only downfall is there is not a lot of directions with this unit but each camera has a settings where you can go in click on motion recording that activated the app to go back and view
