Pros

Took about five days. Installed by myself. Anyway it is in, and operable. Easy to understand and follow instructions. Much easier than unfolding the old wooden ladder.

The first ladder was damaged in shipment. It even hasd a tear in it on arrival with no damage to the box.

Cons

Holes in the wooden frame were not aligned with the holes in the pivot plates. Metal braces in the corners to strengthen the unit, but they were installed crooked as well. Advertised frame width is 22.

There is no qa on this product and since it was defective, the installation instructions were rendered useless. I know it's my own fault for not completely inspecting the product when i first got it.

Very disappointing. Boot prints and broken door straight out of the box. It's my own fault for not opening the box before the return window expired.

Weather-stripping doesn't seal, the insulation is incomplete, and there are rivets from the bottom of the door to the ladder. There are at least 10 exposed metal connectors sticking through the paper exterior. Closing the door is difficult.

Sturdy ladder, fairly easy install, incredibly convenient.

Inspect this unit completely before cutting an opening in your ceiling.

It came with the very cheap cardboard cover broken.

Price

It is a good ladder for the price.

I would likely pay the extra cost in the future to get the metal one in the future if i needed another ladder somewhere.

The ladder was delivered quickly and in good shape.

Bought wrong size, immediately tried to cancel but they refused to cancel and shipped anyway.

The first ladder was damaged in shipment.

Packaging/appearance

The box showed up in excellent condition.

The box it came in looked like it had just been removed from a shelf.

Maybe the manufacturer could do better at more secure packaging in the event fedex can’t get their act together.
