Indeed the authors make the book’s overarching question of how relationships are changed intentionally or otherwise through the use of chemical enhancements so clear that one wonders why this isn’t already scientific and ethical orthodoxy

While this might not be within my field of study it sheds much needed light on alternative approaches using biochemical therapies and illustrates that not all uses of these drugs are bad or negligent
