Transformer allows you to use them in your basement and covered patio. Installed in panama where only have 110 but need 220 for a/c units. Unit is portable so you can use your tools wherever you need to use it.

Overall this is worth the cost if you are looking to run a device at a different voltage than your socket especially since it is mobile
