Havent used all of these yet but earlier this week the black one xl capacity went straight into the j5335dw and worked first time yesterday during printing some village hall posters the original brother magenta cart ran out

The cartridges themselves are packed pretty much like any other with a plastic cover over the inky bit a tightly sealed plastic bag and all contained within a card box

Obviously brother does not recognise them as official brother inks so make sure that they would not affect your warranty before using

I have is that there are 2 x black in there and only one each of the colours

I can find no way of telling it to use black ink only as with my old epson

This means that although you may be using predominantly black ink the colour cartridges will also slowly deplete and when they do there is no override to print in bw only when one colour cartridge needs replacing
