This little booster fixed the problem and the gps light on the blackvue lit up in about a minute.
Competitiveness
Both worked seamlessly in a mercedes ml and they do the same in my wifes audi q7 - but not in the jaguar xf.
Due to the coating on the windshield, it’s nigh on impossible to get any gps signal for a dashcam (blackvue 750) regardless of position.
I too have a tesla model s and a blackvue 650gw dashcam.
I should also point out that the lysignal product was a good £12-13 cheaper than comparable products online.

I have a tom tom and a road angel both of which require gps and both of which will only pick up signals in very obscure positions in the dashboard area

I have a cigarette to usb converter mounted in the centre console and this powers all of the units including the gps receivertransmitter

You also need to position the transmitter again temporarily in a position where it will transmit successfully to the phone and allow tidy cable routing

Once you are satisfied with the position take your car out for a drive and find a route where gps coverage is iffy a drive through a forest or a town with tall buildings and with the app constantly visible on your phone check for continuous receipt of a gps signal

The tom tom very occasionally goes a bit dizzy but being placed adjacent to the centre display on a brodit mount without this little gps amplifier it simply would not get a signal at all

I own a jaguar xf for my sins and the heated front screen and a couple of other design factors have made getting a reliable gps fix on my iphone xs max and iphone x before it impossible
