Pros & Cons
Pros
The zwilling twin cermax m66 chefs knife is the sharpest knife i have ever held. The mac and my paring knife are more or less all i use in the kitchen these days. I own a half dozen chefs knives including wusthof, bob kramer (zwilling), shun and the l... Read More
It is a bit heavier than the global but that is a lighter knife to start with. The western style handle with japanese style blade gives it a unique and refined feel along with a superb ease of use and control.
The blade is pretty pliable. It makes veggie prep enjoyable.
Cons
After a year and seven months it is littered with rust. Littered with chips and no longer holding up. The dimples are for show, since they seem to have no effect on the release of any food from the blade. My one complaint is that it rusts extremely fa... Read More
There is no way to determine who is an authorized seller on amazon without contacting mac directly or the amazon merchant. Buy or beware. Then the manufacturer disavows your knife, even if authenticated. Looks like they will not allow a return and ref... Read More
Not much of a quality guarantee in my opinion. The cutting edge has small notches missing. Looking for a new knife- not this brand.

Expensive, but it is always in use in our kitchen.
For the price, this knife will beat anything it’s compared to.

It even comes in an elegant case that i use for storage, although i wish it came with a good cover or sheath instead of just cardboard.

I've never had a knife that cost more than $30, so i can't compare.

I was used to using a chefs knife that had a roundeddull rear on the blade but the rear of this knife is just as sharp as the tip so you need to be extra careful when using and cleaning the knife
