I did read that they were translucent but the picture looked as though the were more solid so when they arrived and the color was so wimpy that when set on a table the plates didnt look very much like wood at all

We needed some lightweight plates for lunchtime or poolside and these have been great what i would call a smoky darkest brownblack they have the wood look to them but the weight is so nice and light
