Pros & Cons
Pros
Obvious mtg and lotr pleaser set. More fun to play this than old school lottery. Pretty much all foil cards.
Cons
Every booster pack had clearly been opened and resealed. The manufacturer's shrink wrap was removed, the cards were rifled through and then put back in the box. All of the corners are damaged and dented in.
Just doing some worthless platitudes trying to boost their sales. Third party sellers are safer than buying direct. What happens when you flood the market with a product?
Msrp is no longer included, so basically the prices fluctuate ridiculously. There's a miniscule chance you could crack a serialized card.
Highlights
Quality
Great artwork, characters, and playing cards for endless fun.
All the cards a beautiful and the set incudes some really powerful new cards.
The set is extremely strange, with some cards hilariously low-powered and others feeling straight-up broken in limited play.
It's obvious that the new wotc spent a lot of time, effort, and money on some of the most incredible art i've seen in a m:tg set.
Price
Of course, now that boxes are retailing at over $500 for the same cardboard, well.
But it's a fun set with incredible art and there's always a chance you could get a lower-cost chase card.
Packaging/appearance
I opened one box and got about $550 worth of cardboard from a (then) $400 box.
Opened the gamble of boxes i received and probably only broke even, but i had the joy of cracking some packs.
Competitiveness
These are obviously not anywhere near having value for money.
