It is slightly heavy but nice. It is much prettier than the ikea that we have. My only complaint is that it only came with a clear oak seal.
Cons
The base is hard plastic. It is a lot darker and i am not satisfied with my purchase. Our knives stay on, but they're at a 45 degree dangle. They cancelled my order saying the item is out of stock!
