These are an ideal addition to any car kit, marine kit, go-bag or emergency supply cache. The packaging is very robust and stands up for the 5 year shelf life.
Mainstay rations are an important part of a boat/travel preparedness kit. Also can be safely fed to dogs. Basic first aid, flashlights, water, and these rations.

I don’t think you should throw them out after 5 years, but the quality of the nutritional value may be degraded though.
Label the box with the month and year it expires, in bold black marker.

I bought them for my families get home bag, definitely worth the price!
Price hasnt gone up in 5 years either.

The vacuum seals on the ones i received are all perfect, again thanks in part to the excellent packaging, i'd wager.
Starting with the packaging, the case of 10 packs came double boxed, presumably to avoid any potential shipping damage.
I was nervous about ordering this because of the bad reviews on poor packaging.
