The front of the enclosure just has a solid pink/blue light with a flashing blue light every minute or so. The disks only show up as generic usb hard disk in device manager too. Cannot be recognized by windows as a bootable device.

0 output, the data transfer will be slow for sas drives especially 12g sas drives, as usb 3.

Drive: dc hc520 sas 12 gb/s (about $300).
Good value for dollar if you have some old sas drives you may want to get data off

I was not expecting a lot when i purchased this product i just needed an msata to usb adapter that didnt require a cable since i had nothing lying around that would take a msata drive
