Plug And Play Functionality
Customers have had a positive experience with the plug and play functionality of this adapter from MAIWO. They were able to easily access their old drives once connected to a USB 3.0 port, with some noting that it was recognized immediately as another drive. While some users preferred a USB C connector, they were still able to make it work using the provided USB A connector. The operation is simple and effective for moving and mounting files. However, attention must be paid to inserting the connectors correctly for optimal use.
Sata And Ide Compatibility
Customers have a generally positive opinion on the adapter's compatibility with both IDE and SATA drives. The adapter supports a wide range of devices, including 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch IDE and SATA HDDs/SSDs, as well as 5.25-inch DVD/CD-ROM optical drives. Some users have reported minor issues with the USB 3.0 connection speed for older IDE drives but overall, the adapter is highly recommended for reading and transferring files from various hard drives.
Data Transfer Speed
Customers generally have positive feedback regarding the data transfer speed of the adapter, with some reporting it being as fast or even faster than expected. The USB 3.0 connectivity ensures reliable performance for most users. However, a few customers experienced issues with inconsistent transfer speeds and disconnections.

Power Supply
Customers have mixed opinions about the power supply of the MAIWO SATA to USB Cable. While some report that it provides ample power for larger hard drives, others mention issues with performance and the need for a better adapter. However, most agree on its compact size and convenience for data transfer and disposal purposes.

Highlights
Quality
Perfect for data recovery, this adapter is strong and can adapt to different types of harddrives with plug and play ease!
Easy to use and set up, worked flawlessly in helping me access a very old ide hard drive and pull whatever was on it.
Several of the old hard drives i tested never appeared as drive letters even though the platters inside were spinning.
The connectors are sturdy but i found them to be snug, maybe too snug when trying to unplug after use.
Packaging/appearance
There's also an odd/unpleasant odor inside the box, sort of smells like old oil.
It came in nice packaging with clear instructions in english and chinese.
Competitiveness
This is particularly true if your computer supports uasp, which is available on windows 10, windows 11, and macos 10.
