Pros & Cons
Pros
My favorite part is how high up the pad goes so you don’t have to worry about nicking your car with the buffer. Great bonnet, sheds a bunch. But does give a good finish and rinses well.
The makita brand wool pads are top notch! They are thick and sturdy with plenty of wool on the edge. Fiberglass coatings- st petersburg, fl.
The only problem i have with rotary's is that a lot of form type pads don't holdup or last long. I detail boats as a side hustle and these pads work perfectly. Used mine for polishing/restoring clear coat on a boat.
Cons
Lint / fibers fly all over the place. The amount of clean up needed afterwards is worse then the compounding one. The pad came apart almost instantly.

This works perfect - and significantly cheaper than others!
Sure you get wool lint at first use, but compared to other cheaper brands i have tried, makita pads don't shed nearly as much.
