Pros & Cons
Pros
Great for making straight cuts with the plunge track saw. This is a smaller track but effective for those smaller cuts for which the 55 or 108 are just much too long. Perfect for cuts up to 32+ inches.
Cons
This causes a "jog" in what is supposed to be a smooth seamless transition. This completely defeats the point of the tool or the ability to extend the guides for different length purposes. The guy is defective and cannot be used.
Highlights
Quality
Great for making straight cuts with the plunge track saw.
I bought this to do cross cuts so i don't have to wrestle with the long track.
The makita sp6000j1 track saw can be purchased with the 55" track and that is what i did and recommend.
Price
Perhaps the extra cost for festool is worth it.
Competitiveness
Works well with my makita saw and my festool router.
Superior in every way to my festool 55" rails - sturdiness, thickness, mounting pads, extrusion accuracy
Makes precise cuts for much less money than festool.
At these prices , it should come with a bag

Try to join it with another makita rail to extend the cut and you will see they are not lined up at the tracks causing the saw to hit at each joint

You have to change the 34snugger34 knobs on each rail which is really annoying since the tolerances are so off from rail to rail
