Pros & Cons
Pros
Well recieved the package in good order and on time as usal great job amazon. At the present time makita's is lowest cost, as an amazonprime shipped-free product. This leaves cost as a criteria i choose to select what brand to buy.
These belts are durable and hold together until they finally wear out. Good belt, good quality and long lasting. More expensive ~ worth the cost in time and wasted broken belts.
Cons
The package quantity is supposed to be 10 pcs. They burst really quick. Glue at the seam goes bad after a few years. The belts seem to run a little long, making them loose even at the extreme end of tensioning and very sensitive to tracking adjustment... Read More
Highlights
Quality
So still oem quality, but four stars instead of five for not identifying this in the product description.
As a novice, i am very happy with the build quality and would recommend.
My makita 9403 came with a single 80grit belt clearly branded with the makita trademark on the backside.
Packaging/appearance
It is no fun changing a belt every few minutes when the glue separates and the belt shreds.
Competitiveness
Much better than the no name brands.
The oem is the same 80 grit sanding belt that comes with the makita 9404 belt sander, and they had a weired odor.
I've used one belt on a ridgid osolating sander for about three hours sanding very hard wood and it's just now wearing out.
