Pros

The d handle helps with controlling the polisher. Has the power to work on heavy compound and polishing. Made polishing my sailboat hull a lot easier.

Only time we've had to replace them is when one was dropped and the output shaft bent. Use daily and works great,quality product for the money.

Very lightweight and the variable speed is real plus. Quiet, powerful, and predictable action. Better than using either an orbital or (shudder!

Cons

Returned as purchased accidently. Shaft where a back pad is * onto is now loose with a boat load of slack causing the pad to not turn smoothly.

Great product, had to replace my old one after 10 years of hard use being in the automotive refinish industry, best buffer out there.

Seems solidly built and has pretty good weight to it.

Killer machine for slow speed polishing and handwork.

I've had mine for 7 years and i have sanded and buffed out many a car and truck with it.

Price

Good price, easy to use, comes with hoop grip and traditional screw in shaft style grip, i recommend the hoop grip.

Arrived on time and works like a charm.

I had no issues and makita is one of the best in the industry.

Can't say if this is better or worse than dewalt equivalent but i like it and would buy it again.

I can't compare with any others, because it is my first experience using this type of polisher.
