Cons

They fail prematurely due to a design defect. This is a serious design flaw for a battery that is so expensive. Buy dewalt, rigid, porter cable or what ever.

Makita's lithium ion batteries have a bad design flaw. If the battery is not used for a few weeks then that cell will deep discharge causing a weak link in the bank of cells, the pack then fails in the charger.

Amazon hides my review. With such little and lite use this is unacceptable.

Makita support is a joke. Makita is in serious denial. Shame on you, makita.

Makita refuses to make a recall on these batteries for those of us foolish enough to trust the makita name. Some of the other reviewers thoughts of a class-action lawsuit sound like a good idea.

Quality

I got this for my makita fan and drill, as the old battery finally wore out after about 10 years.

Great replacement for my 10 year old makita batter that finally stopped recharging.

I gett about twenty minutes of good vacuuming out of this battery, and it recharges in less than an hour.

I tried 4 non-makita batteries that failed after 3-4 charges!

Glad i bought this - its' well worth the money.

Found this battery from an open box kit brand new $40 less then any where else.

I would rate this as 5 stars if these weren't so expensive!
