Pros & Cons
Pros
Both tools include a small single led light that turns on when the tool is in use. This makes many tasks simpler and easier to accomplish. Fortunately this set finds a way to bridge the gap between reliability and affordability. Thank you amazon for t... Read More
There’s no torque control, which is typical; but it pauses before impacting. The drivers is actually a true impact wrench, designed to drive sockets rather than hex shaft screwdrivers.
The more powerful 18v or 20v lithium-ion tools are pretty much the universal industry standard for professional grade battery-powered tools. Each major brand makes proprietary battery packs that will power any tool that is made by that brand within th... Read More
Highlights
Quality
So far i’m happy with the purchase.
Well made, quality product as expected from makita.
Which is not to say that these aren’t high quality tools, because they are.
You can still do that, with the right adapter, but i suspect that this set is aimed at amateur mechanics rather than woodworkers.
Price
I like dewalt but the price is a little bit more expensive in my opinion.
Shipping
Thank you amazon for the fast shipping.
Packaging/appearance
Last year i picked up makita’s new compact lxt 18 volt drill and driver, and those tools have largely taken over from the dewalts.
Competitiveness
I’m used to being able to push a button and see a light-up led indicator.

Make no mistake though this has nowhere near the power of typical larger 18v tools

This is made for much lighter work like occasional home use

It makes no sense to me why they would use a socket impact head instead of a hex bit holder
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Sure you can get an adapter but a vast majority of bits and tool for this stuff are hex bit especially for the casual home user

It seems all the major brands wanted to be seen in roughly the same light so virtually everyone adopted either the 18v or 20v lithiumion standard for their prograde tool lineup

Less options in the cxt 12v lineup

The next thing to mention is that 12v tools are not the bread and butter of any tool lineup
