Quality makita standard, had one before but lost it so this is just replacement.
It seems to be working well and is a good build quality, only time will tell if it has long term durability .
I would assume that is good quality control.
Price
Perfect bit of kit for half the price!

At £27, this is worth the price for me as a home diyer.
It does what it says, it also plays a little irratating tune.

Interestingly when i charge 2 fully discharged makita 5ah batteries with the older and newer chargers they are both fully charged within minutes of each other

I had one of these before and was given one bit stronger than this one another words in voltage wise but i can’t use it i left it on the side i bought this new one yet my battery is charged so i can do my diy jobs

There could be a problem if you are using this in your home as it is pretty noisy while charging
