Pros & Cons
Pros
The most i've had to inflate was 15 pounds on a car that was sitting for a while. It takes a gt 195/60r15 from 17 psi to 36 psi in about 5 minutes.
This is amazing. Works great. Auto cutoff is a nice feature, too.
The batteries are all interchangeable so it's a no brainer. Only downside is you need to buy the battery and charger separately.
Cons
At 90psi it jingles like it is about to break. Gets extremely hot, very weak for automotive tires. Takes 10 mins to top off a 100psi rv tire and auto shutoff didn't work.
This thing is slow and noisy, made worse by the lack of any sort of trigger lock. The pressure gauge and auto shutoff are inaccurate and variable.
Overall, it is extremely overpriced for what you get. Return shipping and packaging costs for warranty coverage are on the buyer. This is particularly annoying because i went to the trouble to check the online manual before purchasing.

Very easy to use, charge the battery with the charger that comes with the order.
After filling the tank with air, fiddling with the hose, inflating the tire and draining the tank.
It really could use a locking mechanism for the trigger.
Price
Got it at a good price seems to be fluctuating higher everytime i see it.
I've got another brand cordless inflator that cost $52 with a battery, charger, and carry bag.
Packaging/appearance
I have a collection of ones that plug into the cigarette lighter, but they are nowhere near as convenient.
Competitiveness
Quickly fills automobile tires and is extremely quiet as compared to other 120v electric air pumps i've owned.
I have a bunch of 18v batteries for my other makita tools.
You have to be in the makita 18v ecosystem.
Saw that makita now made and 18v cordless tire inflator, i assume upgrade from the 12v model.

Note that if you dont have any other makita batterypowered tools youll have to also get a battery and a charger so the whole setup is going to cost you more than the price of the compressor

I wish it had a trigger lock but that can be bypassed pretty easily with a zip tie cable management velcro rubber bands etc

As a test i raised the pressure in 4 auto tires from 30 psi to 40 psi and checked the charge in the 18v 5 amp battery used
