All in all, mines perfect now with this modification done and i'm very happy with the product.
Matched this up with my new makita light very happy with both.
I swear the quality of makita products are going down hill!
Even came with the ability to mount 2 lights.
Packaging/appearance
Fold the stand and shrink it and hang the top light assembly out of the way.
That one hole would make this an excellent product out of the box.
The second i took it out of the box i knew that specific feature wasn't going to work for me.
Competitiveness
So much better than those pos garbage you buy at harbor freight or home depot.

The legs might slip if you didnt and the bolt on the knob will scratch the tube

Im not opposed to simple fixes like this although makita should consider doing this from the factory

It must’ve fell off during assembly because the other 2 legs had the washer in place
