) i am very pleased with the quality of this saw and with my other makita tools.

Now i have completed three medium sized projects, and i am very happy with the performance and value of this saw.

I have used them all and none have the quality, durabality, and accuracy as the makita.

After visiting my local home center stores, i wasn't very impressed by the quality of the rigid, hitachi or the dewalt.

This saw is great and the price was unbeatable!

I've used them all quite a bit now, which is good concidering the cost.

They were also 12 blade models, which is overkill for my small shop, and the price soars around $600.

The price has dropped and i would definately recommend it.

But as i see time and again in these reviews there was some minor shipping damage to the table and miter scale.

After ordering my saw from amazon, i recieved it within a few days using the free shipping.

Right out of the box, miter & bevel angles were right on.

I love mine and keeping it forever until i die, then someone else will get use out of the best sliding miter saw makita ever made.

One is a lever that is spring loaded and easily moves aside in order to not click into the detents at 90 or 45 degrees for example.

It was dead accurate right out of the box.

I was a little nervous about buying a makita brand because i have broken more makita drills than i care to admit.

Highly recommend this tool to anyone serious about wanting a quality tool that is resonably priced.

In hd, they have a 10inch makita top linier slider for $479 but it looks very cheap.
