Every detail is top notch. This thing is a beast. Very well made, worth every cent.
The 320q is equipped with two universal npt fittings. The two quick disconnects allow using 2 air hoses at once. It has enough capacity to run my framing nail gun, stapler and finish guns no problem.
The makita is heavier and more awkward to carry but seems better built. While it is the same capacity as my old one, it is significantly heavier to lug around. Though the tank is very small at 3 gallons, the compressor is as large and heavy as a 10-ga... Read More
Much thought was put into the design of the enclosure. Even power cord storage was included. It makes the profile lower and less vulnerable.

Cons
Works flawlessly for awhile, then just won't start up again. The air stream fades down to nothing. Makita seems to have either a duty cycle shut down function, a thermal overload switch, or a faulty capacitor.

This is a great compressor and it's incredibly quiet.
Perfect for interior finish work in crowded buildings.
I was gifted a old compressor and it was so loud and hated using it.
This baby by makita is hella quiet and doesnt send me to the nether realm everytime it turns on.
Competitiveness
Both are excellent compressors although the recent large price jump in the makita may deter many buyers.
My only reason for still selecting the 4610ac over the makita is the weight difference---the 4610 is 10 pounds lighter.
