Pros

It's louder than an industrial double lunger belt drive from the fifties. It’s way quieter than any oil-less i’ve owned. Placed in the next room, hardly noticeable. But, it recovers back up to above 90 within just a few seconds.

The wheels provide adequate portability, and the collapsing handle is nice for storage purposes when not in use. Arrived early with white glove service, basically.

Considering it only has a 5 gallon tank, this thing is a beast.

Cons

It takes more than 1800watts to reach 3 hp which 120 will simply not provide. This compressor does not work on most 15 amp circuits. Regulator will not allow more than 30 psi of pressure to buildp. What's with the 3 horsepower rating?

One of the wheels was shattered. The axle they ride on also bent. Looks like a great rig if you go down to the store and buy one that didn't fall 5', 10' however many feet to the ground.

I am very pleased with this product.

High quality, charges in under 1min and is versatile.

I replaced their as shipped pressure fittings with a quality set of milton fittings.

I’ve had a couple of minor issues with the regulator and on /off switches seeping air.

This is a powerful compressor for the cost.

Packaging/appearance

Hard to maneuver due to bent wheels on arrival due to cheap and insufficient packaging from makita.

Competitiveness

Its also i think one of the strongest 120v units which is why i got it.

Remarkably quiet when compared to other compressors which do not even compete on the same level as this unit.

After burning our a few dewalts (which i loved) decided to switch to makita.

Mainly use it for hvlp spraying at 30psi gun pressure.
