Pros

This is the quietest air compressor i've ever owned. Much quieter than the pancake style ones that i have heard in the past. Super quick recharging.

The handle wraps around and makes lifting manageable. It is a little on the heavy side but for the money this one is a keeper.

Added a 4 gallon storage tank to compressor tank drain. Quick release connectors and ball valve. Nice part is it stays put when running.

Cons

This compressor is rubbish. Sadly, that isn't what i got it for. Got some use out of it but still disappointed; expected more.

The unloading elbow was snapped off from the check valve assy. Makita has a problem in the packing of these compressor's which leaves the valve exposed to being crushed inside the container. The biggest problem is i cannot get the correct inlet valve ... Read More

These compressors are all coming busted up or rebuilt by amazon and sold as new. Big rip off. I have to take it to the authorized repair (closest one is 40 miles from home) and let them look at it.

Trust me it’s worth every freakin penny!

I expect so and it's so cheap i can't see not doing it.

All of kind of electronics of course with the filter, and instead of buying an air can every time that will cost me more.

Shipping

Shipping from acme tools without a issue, arrived in perfect condition from fedex.

Shipping was bad, some damage, however amazon was great to resolve the issue.

It arrived very early and put a big smile on my face.

I could hear inside the box, about a million pieces loose.

Getting it back into the box to return would have been a feat so i called makita and they promptly sent me a new cover.

Competitiveness

The drain valve is easy to use, and the fit and finish feel better than what i would expect from a $250 compressor.

Read many reviews, compared other compressors, and settled on this due to what i would be using it for (frequency) and price.
