Pros

Used this little beast to limb my oak trees. Great little chainsaw for the price. Complete from felling to firewood.

The battery life is great. The dual charger is an upgrade over my old single battery charger. Comes with a nice makita dual charging station.

Having a saw that starts reliably, each and every time is great. Never going back to gas.

What an awesome saw. Sweet flying monkeys. Highly recommend this saw.

The lubricant oil is the only thing missing from the kit, which should be included. The bar oil reservoir also seems to be of good size.

Cons

A real disappointment to have to put so much more money into it just to get a usable product. Imagine a gas saw that won't idle, it's like that. Another issue is the bar oil will leak from the saw.

Probably, but not for the same price i paid.

050 more common chain (same price basically), but i would love to put a 24" bar and chain on this thing, i know it could handle it.

Competitiveness

Some of the logs were 18”+ and it held up like a champ.

Portability and power, way more impressive than the corded saws.

I would imagine that the 5ah batteries that come with it would last around 1h 30min give or take.

See the picture, this is what you can expect from (2)sets of 4ah batteries in about 1 hour of work before they run out.
