Pros & Cons
Pros
Makita 16 inch cordless chainsaw cuts like butter. On/off with trigger, with no threat of an injury from an idling saw, especially when climbing.
The bar tends to loosen up easily at first but after breaking in and identifying how tight to set the tension it stays in place pretty well. It seems a bit flimsy, but i am very impressed with what it has handled so far!
The charger is large and holds two batteries. No fuel smell or sloshing on extended 4wd camping adventures. The batteries are the same as i use for my mower and leaf blower.
Cons

00 would have been fair, no case not even a bag for 500.
If you're on a tight budget, it'd take the greenworks.
Shipping
Fast delivery saved me when ice made our tree branches fall.
Packaging/appearance
The saw came with a bottle of bar chain oil that filled only 1/3 of the tank.
Competitiveness
This chainsaw has a wonderful design that is comfortable to hold, rivals the small gas engines in cutting power, and the safety... Read More
Makita has included several built-in safety features, and in my opinion it's far safer than competing small chainsaws.
Both these saws are more similar than different.
I expect it’ll become more affordable with time but it remains to be seen if it can outdo the competition at this price.
