Pros

Not a handyman but this chainsaw works pretty well. Blade stays sharp after a day of grubbing in the woods.

Cons

Makita could have used a standard chain that is compatible with all other saws it's size. The links of the chain are a smaller size so it cuts more efficient, but that doesn't help if you need a new chain and can't find one.
