Pros

It has four operating modes. Like led lights for mode change instead of an old-fashioned manual detent switch. Quick change button means you can change the speeds with one hand.

This tool is a major upgrade. It looks new, but didn't come with any registration or instructions. This new hotness is amazing as upgrades go.

Cons

Did not come in makita packaging. Was just the tool in bubble wrap. This is obviously an issue with seller.

Irregardless, by far the best drill i have ever had, the best tool that i own.

The ability to adjust power settings has made this a perfect all arounder.

After several valiant attempts to compensate, was forced to adapt with an uncomfortable and compromising grip whereby i just gave up.

Not enough resistance when switching gears that caused me to return it after only a few minutes use—because.

Price

I saved money for a year, saved gift cards and got a veterans discount.

So, i got this mikita drill for 30 bucks.

But it was exactly what i wanted at a great price.

The drill is a bit more expensive.

Packaging/appearance

So besides the sketchy packaging, this has completely met my expectations at a great price.

No packaging, no wrapper, no stickers, no marketing information attached or anything.

It came in a plain beat up cardboard box, no nice makita box with all the careful protective styrofoam packaging.

I have no idea if it was used but sure seem like it because of packaging, no makita box or manual, no paper work, nothing, zilch.

I did a lot of research trying to decide what style makita driver to purchase and am very pleased with it.

I bought the xt288t combo with the xdt16 and xph14 thinking it was the xdt19.

This tool costs more compared to other lower quality brands, but i believe it is worth the money.
