This is the first time i’ve been absolutely unsatisfied with a makita product. About as hot as a hairdryer. But to be brutally honest, this heat gun is awful.

This unit is perfect for heat shrink on wiring, or bending plastic pipe, or thawing a frozen pipe.
Great gun the battery last and it heats great
Seriously, i've used every line of tools out there, some good, so bad.
The adjustable heat is good but the fan is just not strong enough, even on the higher setting.
Price
It's expensive but if you use something everyday it should be of high quality.

But it did not meet my needs to strip paint or dry texture to speed up drywall patching
