Pros
Makita has a firm sanding disc pad just like the wen has. Very easy to rotate around. Finish with progressively larger knives to flatten the joint compound.
Cons
It sux and not in a good way. I love the fact that it's battery powered but that's where the love stops. It still leaks dust even on low settings.

I had to add a 2 diameter pvc pipe with a reducer before it attaches to shop vac with a few 12 holes so it would decrease the suction

Thats why it wears out as you pull the sanding disc off it eventually pulls the sanding pad off too
