Highlights
Quality
Overall i’m very happy with the product.
Removing molding and even sanding has made this a tool i am pleased with.
Quality that was as expected from makita.
Good trade-off as far as i'm concerned.
Price
I would have normally bought this item from home depot as the price is identical and the return window is much better at home depot vs.
Competitiveness
Rugged construction and lots of power with one 18v 5 ahr battery.
But it works and i’ll get used to it, i do prefer the bosch touchless clamp design over the clamp design on the makita.
I see people using 2 and 3ah batteries and i guess they just don't understand how electricity works.
Nice to have the cordless saw, but very heavy compared to corded unit.

The only problem is that the cooling fan exhaust blows dust from the blade directly into the users eyes
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
I fixed this issue by attaching a small piece of masking tape above the exhaust port as a deflector

If you do the same be sure not to block the port i doubled the free end of the tape so it couldnt stick to the tool allowing it to flap in the breeze

You have to wiggle the blade around to align and hold the retaining boltpin while doing so
