Pros
The tool actually feels like it has more power than my corded * handheld planer.
This cordless planer is great. It is lightweight and easy to use. This thing is powerfully precise too.
I'm just a weekend * - but all weekend pikers have doors/doorframes that get out of whack with humidity and foundation shifts. The only complaint is that it bogs down pretty quickly on denser wood such as oak.

Makita quality all the way , comes with a vac port for mess free use too!
This cordless works much better for sure.

If you are already team makita 18v cordless this is a great planer to add to the collection.

Had a lot of doors that were jamming shut at the top or werent closing because they were painted too thick for the frame or were installed in winter and expanded with humidity in the summer

I have not tried it yet for planing on greater than one width of the tool

When i unboxed the planer the my batteries wouldn’t slide into the tool so i thought that they may have upgraded the batteries

After some research i learned that it used the same batteries so i did some comparing and realized that the planer had a metal tab that was sticking up that prevented the battery from sliding in

It worked for the most part but it failed within a day planing rough sawn black walnut
