Packaging/appearance
The white board was similar to styrofoam packaging, and would shred easily and made a mess.
Works great right out of the box.
Instead of using a brown cardboard box they uses the packaging of makita, so all my neighbors know that i have a makita track saw.
Competitiveness
Works with my festool rails which is great.
It has more power than the corded festool ts55 saw i had before.
Ill sing the praises of this saw to everyone except my competition.
The batteries last and extremely long time, the saw is easy to use, the cuts are perfect, even without a riving knife.

I will say that you need to index the guide rail tracks from the factory edge or previous cut if you don’t you could end up being off by 116 or more if you just lay the track on there

Also beware if you are using the track during the actual cut if you set depth of cut the old fashioned way by placing the saw at the edge of the material and dropping the blade until it just clears the bottom of the material it wont set the right depth unless the saw is sitting on the track when you do that

The saw itself is nice and while the cuts are clean they are not perfectly straight
