The xrj08z model weighs slightly more than its predecessors. It's still a bit tip heavy in terms of balance, but it makes sense to be weighted in this fashion to make downward cutting easier. One drawback is that it is a bit loud and vibrates more.

Basically its a powered jab saw except it cuts wood and metal instead of drywall and it doesnt plunge
