Pros & Cons
Pros
Makita circular saw comes with 2 5amp batteries and a dual charger. The dual charger is almost a must have for this saw as it will charge a set of 5ah batteries in about 45 min. The battery placement allows for better balance, important for a tool of ... Read More
Great saw does heavy sawing with ease. This saw is a true powerhouse in my toolkit.
Performance is outstanding, effortlessly slicing through 2-inch thick kiln-dried walnut like butter. Low vibration makes it easy to rip thick plywood without a rip fence. Takes a * & keeps on ticking right through tough exterior treated wood.
It's lightweight and easy to maneuver. While it is a bit on the heavier side, the weight is a small price to pay for the 36v power it delivers.
Angle adjustments are refined and secure without the fear of slippage. Comfortable grip and the folding hook is nice too.
Cons
It was wrapped in bubble wrap only and in a very large box. No original makita brand packaging, instructions, tag etc. It’s frustrating to use.

But seems not to be a brand new one as it comes in a amazon box instead of makita package.
Competitiveness
After trying (and ultimately giving away) many different brand of cordless tools, i have settled on the makita lxt line for years.
The batteries consistently outperform and outlast any other brand, and the selection of tools that use this battery format is j... Read More
I’ve also used the 60v dewalt rear handle saw on jobs side by side this and have a few observations for comparison’s sake.
