Pros

The it’s a great choice. That seems to be the only gripe for many.

This packs plenty of power. The work lamp on this is actually useful. And they are just as structurally capable. Looks much better in person imo.

The plunge adapter is a very cool little bonus. If you are invested in the makita 18v lxt system, this is one of the must have pieces to your system.

I feel that this particular router motor is buttery smooth. It is lightweight and easy to handle which translates to smoother cuts and edges.

Cons

It has the exact same system except even more poorly executed. Not a dependable tool.

The bases from the goplus 4 base router kit fit the makita.

Competitiveness

It’s great to be able to use them in any of the makita 18v tools.

I purchased the plunge and tilt bases for it along with 5he dust chutes for both bases.

No longer use my 110v heavy duty router - replaced with this unit.

I've used this as a homeowner and not as a professional.
