So far i have only used this mandoline once and it did a fantastic job at slicing potatoes perfectly and with ease.
The food would fly from the back missing the dish making a mess and the blades had to be changed foods that need to be sliced differently.
Your hand comes nowhere close to the blades and there is no need for wearing uncomfortable safety gloves.

The instructions were simple but had plenty of spelling errors but that does not detract from understanding the instructions because of the accompanying pictures

The key reason we did not get a traditional mandoline was for safety reasons having seen a friend and an experienced cook cut himself badly
